When you have a sample, do you know how to decide upon the right injection molding machine?

1) 首先產量決定模具的穴數。 First , work out the monthly production quantity and then decide upon the number of cavities that you need within the mold.

2) 穴數決定之後就可以模具估價並取得模具大約的尺寸。
After the number of cavities has been decided upon, the approximate size of the mold can be figured out, so that the quotation can be made.

3) 射出機鎖模力的選擇計算公式如下:
The formula for calculating the clamping force of the injection molding machine is as follows: 

F = Am × Pv / 1000
F : 產品所需要的夾模力 / 單位 TON
F: required mold clamping force (TONS)
Am : 模穴的投影面積 / 單位 cm2
Am: Projected area of the mold cavity (cm2)

Pv : 充填壓力 / 單位 kg/cm2
Pv: Pressure inside the cavity (kg/cm2)
(一般塑膠料壓力在150-350 kg/cm2 , 流動性比較好的塑膠料取較低值,流動性比較不好的塑膠料取較高值) (The pressure inside the cavity will have a value in the range of 150 to 350 kg/cm2. Plastic material with a higher fluidity level will have a lower reading.)
舉例 EXAMPLE
已知模穴投影面積是270 cm2,充填壓力為220 kg/cm2,求夾模力。
A projected area of the mold cavity is 270 cm2, at a pressure inside the cavity of 220kg/cm2 we can find out the clamping force with the following equation:

F = Am × Pv / 1000
F = 270 × 220 / 1000 = 59.4 ton

需要購買60ton以上之射出機。
Therefore, an injection molding machine with a mold clamping force of about 60 tons is required.
